What's a Colonic?:
A colonic, (or colon hydrotherapy, colonic irrigation, high enema) is a safe, effective way to cleanse the colon of waste material by repeated, gentle flushing with water.

You will be asked your recent health history to clear any potential contraindications before beginning the session. Contraindications are health conditions or recent surgery that would make it undesirable to have a colonic treatment. Please call if you think you might have a condition that would contraindicate colon hydrotherapy. We will be happy to answer your questions.

In a 45-minute session, approximately 15 gallons of water is used to gently flush the colon several times. Through the appropriate use of palpation of the belly, reflexology pressure points and breath work colon hydrotherapy helps to loosen and eliminate more waste safely and easily than any other short-term technique.

A colon hydrotherapy instrument provides filtered, ultra-violet light-treated water which is warmed to approximately body temperature. We use a closed system at Mana Kai, which means the water is delivered through disposable plastic tubing and speculum, and the waste exits through another disposable tube.

Colon hydrotherapy is gentle and effective, and most often quite comfortable. Special care is taken to put you at ease, including answering all your questions and protecting your privacy at all times.
